Brendan Hansen is a six-time Olympic medalist who grew up locally in Havertown, PA and swam for several area clubs including the Suburban Seahawks Swim Club in Newtown Square. During his collegiate career at the University of Texas, he was a sixteen-time All-American and won fourteen NCAA national championships. Brendan graduated in 2005 with a degree in kinesiology. 

Brendan had an illustrious international swimming career, representing the US in the 2004, 2008 and 2012 Olympics and winning 10 world championship titles. Hansen is also the former world record holder in both the 100 and 200-meter breaststroke events.

Brendan currently resides in Austin, TX where he was most recently the coach of the Austin Swim Club from 2014-2018.
