Jill became involved with swimming when her oldest daughter joined the local YMCA swim team in 2006 and she subsequently became a USA swimming and Level II certified YMCA official. Jill also served as her team’s parent association president for two years and was the 2015 USA Swimming Dusk till Dawn volunteer award recipient.

Jill was a member of both the cross country and track & field teams at the University of Pennsylvania where she received her BA in 1988.
