Tom is Principal and CIO of Clothier Springs Capital Management, LLC an investment advisory firm he founded in 2010 to advise and manage portfolios for private and institutional investors. A CFA Charterholder since 1995, Tom was an option trader and market maker in the equity and foreign currency option markets at the Philadelphia Stock Exchange from 1980 through 1991, when he left to pursue a career in investment management. He has advised and managed portfolios for state, county, municipal and corporate pensions, police pensions, non-profits and numerous high-net-worth private individuals.

Growing up in King of Prussia, PA, Tom began age group swimming with the Upper Merion Aquatic Club (Marlins) in the early 1960s, then Upper Merion Senior High School (1974) and LaSalle University (1978). Through his swimming years he has trained with Dick Shoulberg at the Germantown Academy Aquatic Club, George Haines at Foxcatcher and Jack Nelson at the Fort Lauderdale Swim Team. He was inducted into LaSalle University’s Hall of Athletes in 2001.
